David Shephard

David Shephard (1940-2012)

Founder

Our Founder, David Shephard, began his property development career in 1970, building home units, single residential homes, offices, factories, warehouses and residential subdivisions. In the 1980’s creating quality residential communities became his focus. David’s unerring drive for quality and dedication to long term vision combined to create the culture that characterises Amex. Today, his legacy and vision to create special places for people to live their life’s, lives on through his sons and the Amex family.

Adam Shephard

Adam Shephard

Managing Director

Responsibilities: Group Management, Strategy & Finance
Adam became Amex’s Managing Director in 2007. He has had over 15 years experience in the property and finance industries. Adam is an Australian Chartered Accountant (ACA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia and a MBA from the Melbourne Business School. Prior to joining Amex in 2001, Adam was employed with Babcock & Brown in Sydney.

Cameron Shephard

Executive Director

Responsibilities: Business Development & Acquisitions
Cameron joined the company in 1995. Cameron has responsibility for overseeing the company’s project operations as well as handling business development and acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia and a Post Graduate Diploma in Property from Curtin University. He is also a licensed Real Estate Agent.

Peter Dawes

Responsibilities: Corporate Governance
Mr Dawes has had more than 30 years business experience as a Director of his own Perth based manufacturing business, which under the leadership of Mr Dawes became a national market leader in the supply of sporting garments. Peter's relationship with Amex began in 1987, when he had overall responsibility for project management and marketing of the company's projects until becoming a non-executive director in 2007.

Responsibilities: West Australian Operations
Peter joined Amex in 2010 with over 12 years experience in the planning and delivery of residential, commercial and industrial development projects. Prior to joining Amex, he spent 4 years working as a Development Manager with Stockland Property Group. Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Property) from Curtin University.

Bruce Woolridge

Bruce Wooldridge

Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities: Financial Management, Reporting and Compliance
Bruce holds a Bachelor of Business and is an Australian Chartered Accountant (ACA). He has significant experience in senior finance roles in listed companies and in the public accounting arena. Prior to joining Amex, Bruce held senior management positions with Alinta Limited. Previously, Bruce was employed as a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he accumulated over 12 years of local and international commercial experience, covering a wide range of industries.

Michael Khan

Responsibilities: Ripley Valley Project – Operations and Development
Michael joined Amex in 2008 with over 15 years experience in the planning and delivery of Residential Communities and Commercial Development Projects. Prior to joining Amex, he spent 3.5 years working as a Senior Development Manager with Stockland Property Group. Michael is a qualified Civil Engineer with post graduate qualifications in local government. He is currently a Committee member of the Ipswich Branch of the UDIA (Qld).

Russell Dunster

Development Manager, Queensland

Responsibilities: Ripley Valley Project – Operations and Development
Russell joined Amex in 2014 with over 14 years experience in the planning and delivery of Residential Communities across Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Prior to joining Amex, he spent 6.5 years working as a Development Manager with the Stockland Property Group and 7.5 years as a Project Manager with the Metricon Development Group (Newland Developers). Russell holds undergraduate qualifications in Land Surveying and post graduate qualifications in Project Management (Property Development) from the Queensland University of Technology.

Douglas Lukin

Development Manager, Queensland.

Responsibilities: Assisting in Ripley Valley operations
Douglas joined Amex in 2014 with over 6 years experience focusing on the delivery of residential and industrial projects across southeast and northern Queensland. Prior to joining Amex, he held various roles with private development companies and worked for Economic Development Queensland in their development division. Douglas holds undergraduate qualification in Urban Development (Property Economics) from the Queensland University of Technology.

Anthony Jansen

Responsibilities: Victorian Operations
Anthony joined Amex in 2014 with over 12 years’ experience in the planning and delivery of Residential Master Planned Communities and Development Operations. Prior to joining Amex, he spent 3 years as a Project Director with Lend Lease and a Development Manager with Newland Developers. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
